- We designed these for people serious about grappling arts such as Jiu Jitsu and BJJ, but you could use them for Judo, Aikido, MMA or any general grappling styles - though they are pretty heavy - so not so much for stand-up arts like Hapkido.
- Reinforced seams, with extra reinforcement in high stress areas like arm pits and cross stitching in knees in a very durable single weave fabric (450g or 16oz!).
- An "elastic drawstring waist" for a bit more comfort during workouts (as you don't have to constantly re-tie the drawstring).

Product Description
This is a single weave, blue uniform designed by us specifically for Jiu-Jitsu. It has a traditional "rice-grain" weave fabric for the entire jacket (not just the top and shoulders). The pants have reinforced quilted knees for durability. This design also features narrower sleeves, a shorter apron, and a thicker collar - a full 2" wide.
It was specifically designed to withstand heavy grappling during training and competition. The seams are reinforced - especially in the shoulders, lapel, underarms, and sleeves - to ensure durability.
This is NOT a generic grappling / Judo / Aikido uniform. While you can certainly use it for these styles, it really is intended for the new or intermediate Jiu-Jitsu student. This is especially true when it comes to the thickness of the collar. Many of the generic grappling uniforms (including some of our other styles) do not have the same heavier collar specifically for Jiu-Jitsu techniques. No one else makes a uniform with this cut in this weight fabric or price range. NO ONE.
The jacket is made of 450g cotton and the pants have an elastic waist with an internal drawstring. It also comes with a white belt of matching size. We carry (separately) other belts which are colored, heavier or with BJJ sleeves.
While this is an excellent uniform for the money, it is intended for beginning or intermediate students. We offer much heavier uniforms for more advanced students and competitors.
Please note: these uniforms are sized with "Brazilian" sizes - with the "A" prefix. Those are NOT the same as the Western/Asian sizing (such as "3", "4", "5", etc.). Please be sure to double check the size chart (or contact us) to make sure you are getting the size you wanted.
